Instructions
-
Students have been working to implement their capstone projects for the past few weeks.
Now that the class has reached the midpoint of the second semester, this is a good time to pause and reflect on their progress. It’s a chance to make adjustments for the final half of this last semester
1. Opener: Midpoint Reflection [10 minutes]
Explain to students that now that they are halfway through the implementation portion of this year, it’s a good time to pause and reflect on their progress.
Ask students to independently complete the Midpoint Reflection Sheet.
Students will respond to the following prompts:
What’s working well?
What needs to shift?
2. Peer Feedback [15 minutes]
Have students pair and share their progress with a peer, or in larger groups.
Facilitate a peer feedback using the following protocol:
I like…
I wonder…
What if...?
Students are giving peer feedback on the progress each other has made so far during implementation.
Optional artifacts to share for feedback could include:
Photos or documentation of project activities
Notes from community engagement or feedback
Excerpts from their Implementation Tracker
3. Revise action plans [20 minutes]
Students revise their Implementation Action Plan based on:
Current progress
New community feedback
