Year 3, Unit 2 Self-Assessment
Unit Learning Goal
Students will examine how values, culture, and context shape definitions of success, and reflect on the role of balance, well-being, and intercultural understanding in doing meaningful and ethical work.

Students will be able to self-assess their learning over the course of the unit.

Instructions
1. Opener: Modeling Reflection. [10 minutes]
- Explain to students that today’s class is a time for them to reflect on what they have learned so far in the first unit of these lessons. 
- Share with students the Unit 2 Student Self-Assessment Handout and the Unit 2 Rubric. 
- Briefly, model for students how your thinking changed while teaching these lessons or learning about The Good Project frameworks. 
2. Complete Activity: Student Self-Assessment. [25 minutes]
- Ask students to complete the Unit 2 Student Self-Assessment Handout. - As noted on the worksheet, this can be done through writing, audio recording, or video recording. 
 
3. Closing and Class discussion. [10 minutes]
- Bring the class back together and ask students to share their impressions of this reflective exercise. Some example prompts: 
- What surprised you when you looked back at your earlier portfolio work? 
- What do you feel confident that you know now, that you didn’t know before? 
- What are you still unsure about and hope to learn more about in future lessons? 
- Keep the Unit 2 Student Self-Assessment Handout for the Good Work Portfolio.
